Job Description: Panasas is seeking a talented and motivated entry-level Developer to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in C/C++ programming and a keen interest in distributed storage systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Software Development: Collaborate with a team of experienced developers to design, develop, and maintain software components for our distributed storage systems in C/C++.
  2. Testing and Quality Assurance: Contribute to the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of our storage solutions.
  3. Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for code, designs, and project-related activities.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the development and enhancement of our distributed storage solutions.


Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  2. Strong programming skills in C/C++.
  3. Experience with Agile software engineering processes
  4. Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications (not required, but a plus):

  1. Demonstrated interest in distributed storage systems, either through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships/jobs.
  2. Familiarity with Linux development environments.
  3. Experience with file systems and storage protocols.
  4. Knowledge of parallel and distributed computing concepts.
  5. Contributions to open-source projects or personal coding projects related to storage.
  6. Willing to travel occasionally (once per quarter) for team / customer events.
