Responsibilities

As a Mars Wrigley Packaging Co-Op, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

  • As a Packaging Engineer Co-Op DS1, you are responsible for the below:
  • Lead and execute packaging innovation projects under the guidance of Packaging Associates.
  • Support ideating and realizing value leadership and cost savings goals.
  • Develop detailed packaging specifications to ensure quality materials and best value for money on all packaging components used at our facilities, co-packers and co-manufacturers.
  • Perform packaging sustainability assignments to help meet Mars Wrigley sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team members including product development, equipment engineering, activity management, finance, industrial engineer and others.
  • The Mars Co-Op is a 7 month summer/fall program providing excellent depth of experience with various real world Mars projects.

Job Requirements

  • We are looking for humble and hungry, agile students who have a drive for results, a desire to learn, and who can quickly build relationships
  • Student earning a Packaging Engineering
  • We are looking for students who are passionate about packaging and the consumer products industry
  • Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date (typically rising seniors)
  • This packaging opportunity will be in Hackettstown, NJ.
  • Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening
