Job Description
KBR is seeking a highly motivated candidate as a Junior Systems Analyst (JSA) to support the Joint Technical Data Integration (JTDI) program. This work will involve supporting the program’s Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) product, the Joint Delivery Management System (JDMS) application. The JSA will be part of a team responsible for the sustainment of JDMS and the delivery of technical and maintenance data for NAVAIR aviation Mission Partners across Non-classified Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) and Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) networks.
Responsibilities
- Support JDMS sustainment and operations in the field at over 400+ locations. Work within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) to support SIPR activities. Manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates for deployed systems. Support JDMS testing within an Impact Level 2 (IL-2) and IL-4 environment. Carry out routine phases of JTDI information systems/networks security program that involves access to computers and computerized data, enabling network security through firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Responds to queries and requests for routine information and reports. Utilize the NAVAIR National Help Desk to track customer service requests and tasking. Leverage JTDI tools to maintain configuration management (CM) and troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor application logs and system events to proactively resolve JDMS issues. Assists in conducting regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans. Prepare, deliver, and support JDMS application installation packages. Troubleshoot JDMS break/fix incidents for fielded instances.
- Collaborate with the JDMS software developers to improve the product ahead of each release- including developing, testing, and operating routine firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems and software deployment tools following routine instructions. Provide continual service improvement (CSI) on current processes and procedures.
- Implement, enforce, communicate, and develop policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and information systems security education/awareness programs. Conduct investigations of violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management.
Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ certification.
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED. May have some experience in the Security function and in the field of Computer Science, but not required. This is an entry-level position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or computer-related military experience is a plus, but not required.
- Additional certifications that meet DoD-approved 8570 baseline certifications are a plus. Particularly within the following levels: IAT Level I, IAT Level II, CSSP Analyst, CSSP Incident Responder.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems (OS). Any operating system certification is a plus.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell and Linux Shell Scripting, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms
- Some knowledge of Containerization using OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Some knowledge Java Runtime Environment (JRE) & Microsoft .NET framework
