Credit Karma is growing, and we are looking for Growth Technology Interns to be an important part of accelerating that growth. In this role, you will help manage the technology that product managers use to create highly personalized messages and product experiences that touch millions of members every day across multiple channels. As an Growth Technology Intern, you will join a cohort of other University students where together you will learn all of the skills needed for a future career in marketing, technology and content strategy. Our leadership team will be there to guide you along the way in a collaborative learning environment with personalized coaching and mentoring. You will have areas of ownership from day one, with self-guided projects coupled with instruction delivered by senior talent on our team covering foundational concepts. Our team will ensure your success by creating a fun learning environment that is led by industry experts AND reinforced job shadowing, personalized reviews & feedback until you are ready to fly. Additionally, Credit Karma prioritizes and encourages cross-collaboration so you will have opportunities to work with many different functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Use data to identify opportunities to engage with members as well as to define segmentation and targeting strategies
  • Work closely with cross functional partners such as Product, Engineering, and Program Management, to transform your ideas into compelling members experiences
  • Assist in the curation and clean up of key data segments used by Credit Karma across the marketing and product landscape
  • Enable marketing acceleration of content creation spanning both web and mobile platforms by executing manual test cases, leveraging observability and developer tools to debug issues, and evolving practices to increase breadth and depth of testing coverage
  • Help us build better products and evolve our testing practices by ensuring the quality of our member experiences via quality testing of in app marketing content
  • Work with product owners, marketing, and engineers to review new campaigns/journeys and build comprehensive test perform functional testing on web and native mobile platforms

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in a technical or business discipline
  • Experience using data in an internship or project(s)
  • Comfortable working with developer oriented tooling (ex. github) and have projects demonstrating that experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to understand, interpret and follow technical instructions and specifications
  • Experience with aspects of the software development lifecycle with foundations in testing strategies (manual or automated)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Math, or Computer Science
  • Experience with SQL / other programming languages
  • Intermediate Excel functionality
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (E.g. Splunk, New Relic)
  • High energy and positive attitude with a "can do," solution-oriented mindset
  • Surfaces blockers and proactively comes up with ideas on how to navigate them
