An entry-level Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Scientist will assist with environmental/engineering tasks for site investigation and remediation projects. Position responsibilities will support the characterization of contaminated sites, remediation system design and operation, system monitoring, data management/tracking and reporting. Fieldwork, data management, report writing and interaction with project staff will play an important role in the candidate’s success.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:
- Collecting samples of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media in support of site investigation and remediation objectives.
- Installing monitoring wells, performing remediation monitoring, and overseeing contractors.
- Assisting in the preparation of various regulatory submittals, work plans, technical memorandums, engineering calculations, and/or engineering design reports.
- Managing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data for use in reports and other visualizations including maps, charts, and 3D models.
Candidate should be a self-starter with a desire to perform onsite field work and possess strong technical and writing skills to support a wide range of science and engineering projects. A successful candidate will also be detail oriented, have excellent verbal communication skills combined with a positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and across multi-disciplinary and geographical project team environments.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field from an accredited program.
- 0-3 years of professional experience in the environmental consulting industry.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and on large multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong computer skills and experience with Word, Excel, Python, and ArcGIS Pro preferred, familiarity with database software and CAD is a plus.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus
