Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in consumer credit data to help make business decisions
- Design new analytical workflows and/or optimize existing workflows with the goal to automate report generation and enable self-service analytics.
- Analyzing large datasets using Alteryx, SQL and Python
- Design and build innovative data and analytics solutions, visuals, metrics and KPIs
- Summarize and present the results of analysis using Excel and data visualization tools
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree program in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or related degree
- Be returning to school in the Fall of 2024 to complete degree program
- Expert knowledge of SQL and one of databases - SQL server, Vertica, MySQL, Aurora
- Experience or familiarity with BI tools like Tableau/Qlik/Power BI and MS Office tools is a plus
- Knowledge of data modeling, machine learning and tools like Python, Spark, Hive is desirable
- Knowledge of consumer credit or financial industry preferred
- Strong communication skills, who can express complex concepts and ideas in a simple manner (written, presentation and verbal)
- Strong analytical mind-set. Able to synthesize complex data and produce impactful insights
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
