The Megapack Applications team is looking for an Applications Engineer to join as a core team member focused on the development of our commissioning processes & tools. Our mission is to accelerate the speed of energy storage deployment by making utility-scale power plants and microgrids plug and play. As a key technical member of our team you will contribute to this mission by simplifying site configuration, automating site testing, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement. Pragmatism, willingness to get hands on, eagerness to work with stakeholders, and engineering leadership are key strengths we expect you to bring to the table
Responsibilities
- Develop subject matter expertise in the full, end-to-end, industrial storage commissioning process
- Write detailed commissioning documentation for new products. Iterate and improve processes over time and provide training
- Write SQL queries/python code to produce reports on areas of inefficiency in the commissioning process
- Build dashboards to communicate metrics to leadership and failure paretos to product development engineers (firmware & hardware)
- Perform time trials and identify process bottle necks
- Scope software features and improvements to unlock commissioning time and cost savings
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or equivalent
- Proficiency in either mechanical, electrical or thermal systems engineering
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in data analysis with SQL, Python and Spark
- Familiarity with Tableau or Apache Superset
- Experience with the Linux/Unix command line
- A passion for clean energy
