Job Description
In your role as an API Developer Support Intern, you'll be the face of Dropbox API, helping and engaging with our developer community. Your tasks include managing daily contacts from API customers and ensuring a positive experience for developers integrating with Dropbox. This may involve answering questions, contributing to blog posts, or participating in community forums.
In our Virtual First work culture, you’ll connect with with Dropboxers virtually and in-person to build the foundation of a strong professional network. We will work with you to accommodate your school schedule culminating in a minimum of a 12-week internship.
Responsibilities
- Support developers by answering their questions and helping them resolve issues.
- Engage with the developer community on platforms like Dropbox Forums, Stack Overflow, GitHub, and Zendesk.
- Create and share technical content, such as blog posts and tutorials, to educate developers.
- Gather feedback from developers and communicate it to the product team to improve our services.
- Work with different teams to enhance the quality and usability of our API documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to our API, using coding samples to communicate effectively with developers.
- Advocate for developers within the organization to ensure their needs are taken into account in decision-making processes.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field with an expected graduation in 2026.
- Enthusiastic about problem-solving, process improvement, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Able to demonstrate and explain API knowledge, with expertise related to APIs, SDLC, and a general understanding of web technologies and related tools.
- Possess a customer-first mindset and take ownership of customer feedback.
- Capable of creatively applying API functionality to solve different use cases.
- Have experience working in various programming languages and development environments or possess a working knowledge of at least one programming language.
