AssetWorks is a leader in fleet and asset management for State and Local governments, helping government organization utilize public asset for maximum benefit to citizens and communities with assets and infrastructure that never fails. We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as an AI Integration Intern. This open ended internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our experienced professionals and contribute to the exploration and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in our products and processes. This will be an experimental role focused on proof concept and prototyping new ideas. As an AI Integration Intern, you will play a key role in researching, evaluating, and implementing AI solutions to enhance our products and our company. This internship is designed for candidates with a passion for AI, machine learning, and a desire to contribute to the evolution of our industry-leading products.
Responsibilities
Research and Analysis:
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning technologies.
- Conduct market research to identify relevant AI solutions and trends applicable to our industry.
Solution Evaluation:
- Assess the feasibility and potential impact of integrating AI into our products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and challenges.
Proof of Concept Development:
- Work on developing small-scale proof of concepts to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of AI integration.
- Collaborate with our development team to integrate AI prototypes into existing products.
Data Preparation and Analysis:
- Assist in data gathering, cleaning, and preparation for AI model training.
- Collaborate with data scientists to analyze and interpret results from AI models.
Documentation:
- Create detailed documentation of AI integration processes, including best practices and lessons learned.
- Provide regular updates and reports on progress to the team.
Collaboration and Learning:
- Collaborate with various departments, including product development, marketing, and sales, to gather insights and requirements.
- Actively participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IS or related a related field.
- Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, and data science concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Must be able to work self direct and prioritize
- Classroom or previous experience in the phases of the software lifecycle
- Classroom or previous experience with relational database’s (Oracle or MSFT SQL Server)
- Experience with in Microsoft Azure, Chat GPT, OpenAI
