Responsibilities
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Software Engineer. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Linthicum, MD.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Transformation Computing (TC) Program, Networked Information Solutions Division, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. Focused on leveraging superconductive technologies.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2023.
- Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2023.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
- STEM Degree preferred, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
- Programming Languages such as C++, Python, TypeScript
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system
- Object-Oriented design and development
- Agile Process and DevSecOps techniques
